Remembering Karen and how she brightened my life many years ago. Back in 2011, I received a phone call from her. She was on the Nominating Committee for the Assistance League of Santa Barbara. I was shocked when she asked if I would accept being President in 2012. She was so encouraging, that I said, "YES." I found working with Karen and 15 other Board members very fulfilling.
